Unsure how to use Alexa, but want to learn? Here are a few Alexa FAQs:
1. What if I don’t have an Alexa?
Let’s just start with the biggest deciding factor: what if you don’t even have an Alexa, right? Well, at the time of this writing, I, Kelly, creator of the Daily Ritual Care flash briefings, don’t have one either! If you don’t have an Alexa device, you can listen in using the Amazon Alexa app. You’ll just need an Amazon account. But if you don’t have that either, I’ll be both wildly impressed and equally unsure that we can ever be friends.
2. What is an Alexa Flash Briefing? How do I get started?
Flash briefings are free daily updates on your custom-selected topics, delivered by Amazon’s Alexa platform (via the Alexa device or the Alexa app on your phone or tablet). You can think of your flash briefing as a personalized summary of content for your favorite interests. To get started, you can learn how to listen with your device or the Alexa app on Alexa’s feature help page, Listen Your Flash Briefings.
3. What are Alexa Skills? How are they different than Flash Briefings?
Each flash briefing is made up of “Alexa Skills,” which are short recordings of content (i.e., micro-podcasts). You can choose whichever Skills you like from the Alexa Skills directory.
4. What is the Daily Ritual Care Skill?
Daily Ritual Care is an Alexa Skill that airs every weekday, focusing on modern self-care that builds resilience for mom life. It’s a quick daily practice to give you more patience, perspective, confidence and MAGIC in early motherhood. Click here to add the Daily Ritual Care Skill to your flash briefing.
5. What if I miss my Daily Ritual Care briefing? Can I listen to past episodes?
Every briefing restarts each day; if you miss a briefing, you can’t go back and hear it again. But, no worries! If you do miss a day (because who doesn’t?), you can find a full archive on Apple Podcasts.
